Keep Manhattan just give me that country side.

I have recently gained employment at the delightful Collingwood Farm and life over there is bliss.
Spring is defiantly the best time of year for farm living. The baby animals are so unspeakably precious and when the sun shines and the wind is still the ambience will take you to such a calm state of mind its hard to snap out of.
The farm is right next to a very active section of the Yarra river and if you have a bike I thoroughly suggest you take it for a journey down one of the many bike paths.

Melbourne is amazing!

Melbourne living proves to be more than fruitful.

Train platform out the front, abandoned vegetable garden out the back, and a pitch black basement full of forgotten treasures...

Just outside of the city there is a secret garden, lost and alone....
It is attached to a train platform that has been transformed into a house and I was lucky enough to be escorted there on sunday and the afternoon flew by in a flurry of sun lit exploration.
We were so consumed by all these smells and tastes... Dill, mint, horse radish, pea's, rocket, parsley... It was beautiful...
If you told me I had been transported into my Poppy's veggie patch in Sunny bank, I wouldn't have argued.
Everything was overgrown and wild. The herbs had broken the confinements of their pots and boxes, the fish were no longer in the pond, the garden chairs had rusted through and the green house was no longer green, but brown and brittle.
At the bottom of the garden a massive heritage listed Morton bay fig was shading a strange collection of solid wooden chairs that had been dug into the ground, impossible to move. The way they had been arranged was peculiar and you could almost see the layers of many moons sat upon them.

Driving home through the city was a weird feeling. How could a place so untamed and natural be so close to this world of structure and order...
I was too busy feeling free to photograph a lot of the afternoon. But you get the idea.

Winter fling...

Lately I have been spending a lot time alone...
Not overly intentional, just has happened.
It is very enjoyable, and I think it's because i'm totally romancing myself...
I cook a delicious dinner most nights, shop for flowers that only I enjoy, go bike riding through the gardens at dusk, get way too excited about getting in bed early to read for hours before I sleep and the other day I booked myself in for a 3 hour spa treatment because I thought 'Hey mate, you deserve it'....I'm starting to wonder if this is normal.
Then I found this quote and felt much better...

'Funny how we think of romance as always involving two, when the romance of solitude can be ever so much more delicious and intense.'
-Tom Robbins
